Nhu Nguyen, PA-C, has dedicated the past 14 years of her career to caring for children with complex gastrointestinal and liver diseases. She began her career at Children’s Health in pediatric inpatient hepatology, where she developed expertise in managing acute liver failure, genetic and metabolic liver disorders, and liver transplantation. She currently practices at UT Southwestern Medical Center, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care to pediatric patients while advancing her commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate service.

Nhu’s passion for serving underserved communities stems from her childhood in Vietnam, where limited access to healthcare shaped her understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations. These experiences inspired a lifelong commitment to improving healthcare access and providing compassionate care to those in need.

Throughout her career, Nhu has participated in numerous international medical mission trips, serving communities in Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Mexico. These efforts have included providing medical care in remote villages, supporting children in orphanages, and delivering health services to populations with limited access to healthcare. In recent years, her work in Mexico has focused not only on medical treatment but also on building meaningful relationships with children living in orphanages, offering encouragement, support, and hope.

In addition to her international outreach, Nhu remains actively involved in her local community in Plano, Texas, volunteering annually to provide health screenings and examinations for underserved individuals. Through her medical missions and community service, she has helped address a wide range of healthcare needs while demonstrating that compassion, dignity, and human connection are as important as medical treatment itself.

Drawing from her own experiences growing up with limited access to healthcare, Nhu has dedicated her career to improving the lives of others through medicine, service, and advocacy. Her work reflects a deep commitment to healing, restoring dignity, and bringing hope to children and families both locally and around the world.
