There has been a shift in contraceptive counseling from LARC first to shared decision making regarding contraceptive options. There are updates to duration of time in which LARCs are effective for in addition to new methods- Annovera and Slynd. Present data on Emergency Contraception- decreased efficacy for elevated BMIs, use of Ella and quick start of contraception.
