Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: Diagnosis, Neuromuscular, Rehabilitation, Orthopaedic, and Surgical Management

Although patients with rare conditions are primarily cared for by sub-specialists, appropriate knowledge of these care considerations by primary care providers can influence effective care-coordination between primary care and sub-specialty providers and in turn impact outcomes and quality of life for these patients. This webinar will highlight the updated care considerations and emerging therapies related to the care and management of with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) as it relates to neuromuscular, rehabilitation, and orthopaedic and surgical management. They will better be able to identify and address related issues affecting children with DMD and the role of primary care providers and these sub-specialty providers in achieving effective care-coordination for patients with DMD. This learning activity is eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2.
